We are a multiple Rolls-Royce First Class Service award winner and a subsidiary of M International, a US-based aerospace company. Our team holds an average of 19 years of industry experience.
We are a clean, modern, and technically demanding environment where precision is non-negotiable — the quality of this work directly affects human lives.
About the Role
Our machine shop is growing and we’re looking for one Machinist to join the team. You’ll be machining aircraft engine components to extremely tight tolerances on manual mills and lathes, with CNC experience as a strong asset. We are looking for someone progressing in their trade — ideally in their second or third year of a machinist apprenticeship, or someone with solid hands-on experience and formal machining education behind them. If you are on the path to your Red Seal, we will support you in getting there.
What You’ll Do
- Machine aeronautical components on manual vertical milling machines and lathes, following OEM procedures, engineering drawings, and blueprints
- Work to tight tolerances (0.0005”–0.001”)
- Set up and mount irregular parts in custom fixtures
- Use precision measuring equipment — OD/ID micrometers, bore micrometers, Vernier calipers, gauge blocks/pins, height gauges, depth gauges, and dial indicators
- Plan work sequences and communicate unforeseen issues proactively
- Operate drill presses, bench grinders, tool grinders, and hand tools
- Maintain quality and safety standards in line with Canadian Aviation Regulations and company policies
- Support Lean and Six Sigma practices in the shop
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Currently enrolled in or completed a machinist apprenticeship program, or equivalent hands-on experience with formal machining education
- Comfortable working to tight tolerances in a precision, quality-critical environment
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and OEM procedures
- Proficient with precision measuring equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to plan ahead
- High attention to detail, reliable, and a strong team player
- Strong interest in the aviation industry
Nice to Have
- Experience machining titanium, Inconel, alloy steels, stainless steel, aluminum, magnesium, and thermal spray coatings
- Haas CNC experience; Bobcad, Fusion 360, or Solidworks familiarity
- Manual G-Code editing
- Cylindrical grinding experience
- Tool and Die certificate
- Human Factors, WHMIS, CAMC, or Canadian Aviation Regulation training
- Understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly rate ranging from $28 to $34, based on experience
- Eligible for an annual performance bonus
- Monday to Friday, day shift, with occasional overtime opportunities
- Extended health, dental, and vision coverage
- RRSP matching
- Boot allowance
- On-site parking
- Sponsored Red Seal certification — we will support your path to certification as you grow in the role
Upon applying, our team will review your resume and reach out if your experience is a match. Thank you for your interest — we appreciate your time!
